If you’re trying to make the most of your JemCon experience have no fear. It’s not a coincidence that we picked the “Home of Rock n Roll” to host JemCon 2018. Whether you’re a music fan, art fan, foodie, animal lover, or sports fan, there’s LOTS to do in Cleveland! The following list is organized by activity type along with information on how far these activities are from the JemCon hotel as well as what the activities cost so you can make sure you plan a truly outrageous trip!!

Rock and Roll of Fame
There is only one Rock and Roll of Fame! The museum is open daily from 10 am- 5:30 pm with extended hours until 9:00 pm on Wednesdays. There are student and military discounts available. There will be an early bird activity for JemCon attendees coming in early for the Thursday before JemCon.
Pricing: $13.75 to $23.50*
*There will be a group discount for those going with JemCon on Thursday, August 23, 2018

Cleveland Museum of Art
The Cleveland Museum of Art is a nationally ranked art museum located in the Wade Park District, in the University Circle neighborhood on Cleveland's east side. The museum is open from 10:00 am-5:00 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays with extended hours from 10:00 am- 9:00 pm on Wednesdays and Fridays. The museum is closed on Mondays.
Pricing: Free!!
Distance: Approximately 30 minutes from the JemCon hotel

Playhouse Square
Get your theater fix and consider seeing a show at Playhouse Square in downtown Cleveland. It’s the largest performing art center in the United States outside of New York (but without the New York prices!)
Pricing: Depends on the show you’re seeing but some shows do have student discounts starting at just $18 a ticket!
Distance: Approximately 30 minutes from the JemCon hotel

The Cleveland Zoo
The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is a 183-acre zoo in Cleveland, Ohio. The Zoo is divided into several areas: Australian Adventure; African Savanna; Wilderness Trek; The Primate, Cat & Aquatics Building; The RainForest; and Waterfowl Lake. Open daily from 10:00 am-5:00 pm
Pricing: Kids 2 and under are free. Kids 2-11 are $10.25. Adults 12+ are $14.25

The Greater Cleveland Aquarium
There’s lots of chances to get your animal fix in here in Cleveland. The Cleveland Aquarium is open daily from 10 am-5:00 pm but the last tickets for the day are sold at 4:00 pm.
Pricing: Kids under 2 are free. Kids 2 to 12 are $13.95 and adults 13+ are $19.95
Distance: Approximately 30 minutes from the JemCon hotel

Lolly The Trolley
For when you want to make sure you see everything! A ride on Lolly the Trolley’s City Sightseeing Tour entails more than 20 miles of facts and fun. It’s one of the most reliable, pleasant, and convenient ways to see Cleveland since 1985. The station is located in the First Energy Powerhouse, which is the same building where the Greater Cleveland Aquarium is.

Gateway District Tours
A variety of walking tours are available free of charge through the “Take a Hike” program in partnership with the Downtown Cleveland Alliance. Tours include Warehouse District Tour, Playhouse Square Tour, Canal Basin Park Tour, and the Civic Center Tour.

North Coast Harbor Marina
Located just behind the infamous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Rent a paddle boat, kayak, jet ski, or a real boat, and see downtown Cleveland from the lake.

West Side Market
Cleveland’s public oldest market is home to 100 vendors offering meats, seafood, fruits, vegetables, baked goods, dairy, flowers, ready-to-eat foods, spices and nuts.
Pricing: Entrance is free.

Downtown Public Square
Pricing: Free

Jack Casino
For those who want to get their gambling fix. 21+ up.

Crocker Park
An outdoor shopping plaza with lots of great restaurants located right down the street from the JemCon hotel. Home to the creative studios for American Greetings.
Distance: Five minutes from the JemCon hotel!

A Christmas Story House & Museum
Come see the house with the leg lamp and original props from the infamous movie. The museum is open daily from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm with hourly tours beginning at 10:15 am.
Pricing: Children 2 and under are free. Children 3 to 13 are $8. General Admission is $11
Distance: 25 minutes from the JemCon hotel

Birthplace of SuperMan
Come see the house where the legendary SuperMan was born at the childhood home of Jerry Siegel.
Distance: Approximately 25 minutes from the JemCon hotel.

Cedar Point
If adrenaline activities are what you crave, then Cedar Point won’t disappoint. Known as The Roller Coaster Capital of the World!®, you won’t find a better sensation seeking experience anywhere else. The first hyper, giga, strata and terra coasters all got their start right here at Cedar Point. Best of all – there are even more thrills than coasters just ready and waiting for thrill seekers who are brave enough to tackle them all! When else are you going to be this close to 17 of the world’s best roller coasters!?
