2010 - Manchester, NH

We Set Sail for New England for the 6th Annual JemCon on September 25 & 26, 2010 at the Comfort Inn in Manchester, New Hampshire!

JemCon 2010: Set Your Sails for New England, was attended by well over 100 Jem™ fans from all over the world, including attendees from England, Holland, Italy, Puerto Rico and Austrailia. Several dozen supporting memberships were also purchased, making this our most successful JemCon to date!

The convention featured special guests Samantha Newark and Britta Phillips (the speaking voice of Jem/Jerrica and the singing voice of Jem, respectively), Ellen Bernfeld (the singing voice of Pizzazz), Jem song writer, Anne Bryant and Jem Story writer, Mr. Michael Charles Hill. In addition there were fan panels, workshops, dealers, and displays which included rare prototypes and dolls.

We were also incredibly honored to be the hosts of a very special JemCon wedding!

On Friday there was a catered Meet 'N Greet buffet dinner with an outrageous Jem™ trivia contest. Saturday held two guest panels; the first of which was a brief introduction to Jem (and each other) by both Jem-ladies, Samantha Newark and Britta Phillips. Saturday's second guest panel followed after lunch with a full line-up of Sam and Britta, Anne Bryant, and Ellen Bernfeld, and convention newbie, Mr. Michael Charles Hill. The third guest panel on Sunday saw a return of all guests dishing even more dirt from Jem history. The convention continued throughout Saturday evening with cosplay entertainment, Jemâ„¢ Karaoke (lead again by the ever-ready and super-enthusiastic Ellen Bernfeld and Britta Phillips), a fantastic Battle of the Bands Masquerade and disco!

The JemCon 2010 Charity Auction raised $1405 for VSA Arts of New Hampshire, who work to assure equal access to the to arts for everybody and to provide ways for people with disabilities to learn through, participate in and enjoy creative experiences.
